Create a Rule (Technical User)
The following paragraph deals with the creation of a data rule from the functional perspective of the business user.

Go to https://neomir.app/rules. The rule overview will appear. To create a rule click on create in the top right corner of your screen

Add a rule title and a functional description of what your rule needs to validate. The description is meant to be written by a business related person.

Add the system in which the rule needs to be validated. Assign this Rule to a Data Product. Then make sure to add a Rule Steward (Group responsible for data corrections) and a Rule Owner (Group responsible to observe this rule). Groups can be set up in the Organization section of Neomir.
Define the criticality of your rule. The criticality measures the impact a rule defect has on your business. Next add the urgency which triggers, how fast a rule defect must be corrected by the Rule Steward. Then choose the right data Quality Dimension and click on save.

After saving, the rule’s status changes to “draft”. The next step has to be done by a “Techie”. A “Technical User” will now set up the technical rule.
The following paragraph deals with the creation of a data rule from the technical point of view of a technical user.
After the functional rule has been saved, the “Techie” creates the technical rule. For that we switch to the “Technical” tab where he can define the Queries for your rule.
