Validation Launchpad (all Data Rules)

Validate all data rules of your organization with one click.

Open the validation page. The Validation Launchpad enables the validation of all non-archived data rules of your organization.

If specific settings are to be made in relation to the validation, these can be made in the “Settings” tab.

You can decide whether the speed should be restricted in favor of computer performance. After the validation run, all defects are normally showed. If it is only a statistical run, the defects can be ignored. This also saves on computer performance. If a validation run is executed that is to be explicitly excluded from the statistics, this can be done by selecting “Exclude from Statistics”.

After your settings have been made, the validation run can be started.

As soon as the validation run has been executed, the validation results appear. On the top of the page the main statistics as shown in the picture get displayed. It tells how many rules have improved, how many stayed neutral, which ones have worsened in data quality and if there where data rule errors.

The “Download all” button let’s you download all defect records as .xlsx. The technical field names are included in the download file to enable uploads to the respective system. The “Forward all” button sends all errors to the responsible data steward who is responsible to correct the defects in the system.

Validation of specific Data Rules

Specific Rules can be validated in the Rules section.

Go to the Rules section and select the specifc rule. Then click on Run.
